Are We HAPPIER? ? FEARS & FAILURES of RVing FULL TIME
Full-time RVing means we are constantly changing landlords and facing wildly different circumstances. That means things don’t always go the way we plan or expect. In this vlog, we are challenged to consider if the RV journey has made us happier even with some bumps along the way.

The only reason I’m coming down on the camp host’s side on making you move is that they have to clean your site in preparation for the next occupant. No matter how clean you leave it, they HAVE to clean it. They were expecting you to move early so they could clean early. It was just a matter of expectations, yours versus theirs. I’d much rather see rules enforced than ignored. Like at the last Thousand Trails park we were at.
Well just an FYI…
Butter and Noodles are a favorite in my house, every-time we make a pasta dish the leftovers are Butter and Noodles (I like to add parmesan cheese to mine, we always have a block of parmesan)
Oh my!!! Totally been there. We parked in our pre-reserved “site” in a New Jersey reservable area – essentially an unmarked treeless field. Like a group site. Unhooked our fifth wheel, slides out, awning out, rug and chairs out, lights hung. Get a visit from the park ranger. Apparently our slide was 6”- I am not exaggerating one bit, his words- over into the neighbors unmarked “site” – essentially the BACK side of their tents, which were still 8 feet away. And an area they were NEVER going to use. We said no. He said we had no choice. And we had to move over !!!!!! For 6 INCHES!! The next day we packed up and moved to a beautiful non reservable site in the woods for two nights to get away from them. And yes. We had to pay an additional two extra nights for the new site as well.
Common sense really doesn’t come into play sometimes. I am still angry thinking about this and this was a decade ago.
Oh. And we made sure we set up our ladder golf and played a good solid hour on their side of our trailer. We couldn’t on our side as it was a drainage ditch. Just us and our two pre teen kids. We had an excessive amount of good loud laughing fun. Just because we could. And we made sure our windows were open in our trailer that evening as we played a rousing game of Uno just prior to the 10pm quiet time. It was UNBELIEVABLE.
