We continue to experience all sorts of bumps in the road with our new tow vehicle, but there’s no way we are letting them spoil our bucket list visit to Niagara Falls in our fifth wheel RV.

? Could not install because of the Dodge frame:
– Aftermarket airbags (Firestone, Air Force, etc.)
– Sumo Springs
– Additional Leaf Spring
? Might work, if it came down to it:
– Replace leaf springs
? Installer’s preference because of the Dodge frame:
8,600 lb Timbrens

At the cost you are talking about, call Kelderman. They make an excellent rear suspension system. Google: kelderman.
I had a similar system on a F550 and it rode wonderfully loaded OR empty.

I second Kelderman. They will also know all about the factory air suspension – which I always thought was quite common.

if you’re ok with no airbags you can replace them with springs which would be heck of a lot cheaper!

As someone who went to college in Niagara Falls, spends summers near Niagara Falls and takes the tourist attraction of Niagara Falls for granted – if not a nuisance – it was wonderful to see your excited reaction to being here in the area. Glad y’all enjoyed it… I was very happy for you.

I haven’t camped at Four Mile Creek State Park since my tenting days 30+ years ago. It was good to see it again through the eyes of someone appreciating its location for the first time.

Niagara Falls Canada started tapping into its tourist potential decades ago as it was one of the few “industries” there. Niagara Falls New York was a very industrialized / chemical town developed due to the nearby inexpensive power. It’s only in the past few decades that the American side has started to fully recognize and develop its tourism potential.

    Great video, thank you!

I suspect the leaf springs used by the air bag option of RAM , are rather mild, letting the air bags do the “work”. I would be wiling to bet that ordering the “normal” dually 1 ton leaf springs will set your 1 ton right . The weak springs account for the tail sag. Hope this info is not to late !

    Best regards
